Everyday-Safe Dog
What is it about?
If you want a dog which is reliable in everyday situations, you need to train in those very settings. That’s why we practice where life happens: at the train station, in the city, in the woods or by the water. We solidify basic commands amidst real-life distractions so that you and your dog remain relaxed as a team in any situation.
Who is the course suitable for?
This course is suitable for dogs of all breeds and ages, starting from puppyhood. It's ideal for you if you:
- ...want to solidify the focus on the human and the basic cues amidst genuine everyday distractions.
- ...want to train for relaxed dog encounters while on the leash.
- ...want to learn how your dog can stay relaxed even in busy places like train stations, city centers, etc. zur Ruhe kommt.
How much does the course cost?
There is a subscription system available. With a subscription, the cost is CHF 30.00 per hour per team. Those who prefer to book individual sessions pay CHF 40.00 per hour/team.
When and where does the course take place?
Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
The exact location is announced shortly beforehand. Group courses primarily take place in the Steinhausen, Cham, Zug, Baar, and Rotkreuz area. The location is always easily accessible by public transport and car.
Mantrailing
What is it about?
In mantrailing, your dog uses a specific scent item to actively search for a hidden person. This form of scent work provides species-appropriate mental and physical stimulation and is meant to be fun for both dog and human. Here your dog is allowed to take the lead!
Who is the course suitable for?
- This course is suitable for dogs of all breeds and ages, starting from puppyhood.
- If you are looking for meaningful physical and mental exercise for your dog.
- Also perfect for insecure or anxious dogs, as searching independently (and succeeding) boosts self-confidence.
- If your dog can wait relaxed in the car (between runs).
How much does the course cost?
There is a subscription system. With a subscription, the rate is CHF 40.00 per hour per team. Those who prefer to book individual sessions pay CHF 45.00 per hour/team.
When and where does the course take place?
The course is currently fully booked.

NHB Preparation Course (National Dog Owner Certificate)
What is it about?
The National Dog Owner Certificate (NHB) confirms that you and your dog enjoy a harmonious and safe relationship in everyday life. In this preparatory course, we go through all the practical exam tasks step by step, ranging from everyday situations like encounters with pedestrians, joggers, and other dogs, and proper handling at the vet, to reliable basic commands such as sit, down, wait.
As of January 1, 2023, the NHB is mandatory in the Canton of Lucerne for first-time dog owners and those importing a dog from abroad. The test must be completed no later than 18 months after acquiring the dog.
Who is the course suitable for?
This course is the follow-up to basic training (or the Everyday-Safe Dog class). It is suitable for you if you:
- ...want to complete the National Dog Owner Certificate (NHB) in a relaxed manner and well-prepared.
- ...want to specifically assess and reinforce your dog's suitability for everyday life and basic obedience.
- ... find importance in a considerate and relaxed behavior in public.
- Prerequisite: Your dog knows the basic commands (sit, down, recall) and can be handled in the presence of other dogs.
How much does the course cost?
There is a subscription system. With a subscription, the hourly rate is CHF 40.00 per team.
We train for as long as necessary and until you feel ready for the exam. The exam fee (based on official association rates) is charged separately.
When and where does the course take place?
Saturdays from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
